Anchored In Love.

What better way to get back to blogging than starting with a bridal shower!  My lovely cousin Becca is getting married, and we were fortunate enough to host the bridal shower!  Anchored in Love was the theme.  The shower took place at my home, with my Mom and I as the hosts.  We chose the theme for two reasons, number one the Groom is in the military so that's where the red/white/blue comes in.  'Merica!  And number two, both the Bride and Groom love the lake where we spend our summers enjoying the water.  When I came across the theme of Anchored in Love, it was perfect!

On the front door, we put a veil with ribbons and an anchor sign.  We always put some type of chalkboard sign with a cute saying welcoming the guests to the event.
The blue anchor table clothes were for the kids mainly, we had little plates that were meant for hot dogs but we put Ritz crackers and peanut butter packs inside for them to eat.  I printed off fun little placemats for them to color and doodle on, with the Bride and Groom's name.
On the red tables, a simple Kraft paper runner was down the middle with a tin lantern and mason jars filled with flowers and a mini American flag.
At the end of the tables, we put Becca the Bride at with this backdrop I made out of streamers and a "Miss to Mrs" sign!

The bar cart!  In the containers, Strawberry Lemon Water "Fruit Infused Sea Water", and Blueberry Lemonade "Buoy Blueberry Lemonade".  Next to the containers was white wine, with paper straws, and American flag napkins.

As you walked into the kitchen, we had a sweets area and the main course on the kitchen table.  For the sweets we had goldfish, red licorice, white yogurt covered pretzels, and blue M&M's, cheesecake, and cupcakes.

For the main course, was a croissant bar!  Mesquite turkey, ham, salami, fruit cups, and veggie cups.  (The food was not put out yet in the above photo).

On the counter, we had the anchor plates and napkins all set up for the guests.  These are from Party City, they had an entire anchor section and I went a little nuts.  It was too cute!

My lovely sister-in-law.

What's a bridal shower without games right?!?!  The typical games at showers always bore me, so we tried to come up with fun and different ones.  The first one was Memory.  Each guest had to write down a favorite memory of the Bride, we read them aloud, and the Bride had to guess which guests memory it was.  If the Bride guessed right, the person who's memory it was had to do a shot of tequila.  If the Bride guessed wrong, the Bride had to do a shot of tequila.  It was hilarious and so much fun!

The second game was "Fruit by the Rope", we hauled everyone in the basement to get up and moving plus we needed some room.  Whoever could eat the fruit by the foot without their hands the fastest in under a minute, won.  Soo fun!

Opening of the gifts!  The Bride was a trooper and made it through massive gifts. And her MOH (Maid of Honor's) were so sweet.  One handed her the gifts, while the other wrote down who gave her what.

The favors were probably my most favorite part of the shower.  First of all, I love this photo of the Bride and Groom, and I love how the yellow fish tie into the yellow background on the photo.

My Mama and I, the best part planners.

What a great bunch of ladies, we had so much fun and it was a beautiful day!

The beautiful Bride, my cousin.  Can't wait to celebrate her big day.  She is the best and can't wait to see her relationship grow into marriage with her future husband.  I'm so grateful to be able to throw this bridal shower, she is going to be the most beautiful bride!
