With Easter just around the corner, I thought I'd put up our Easter decor before it comes and goes this year!
Just love having a mantel to decorate for each holiday!  Or just in general.
In our family room, next to the diffuser added a little wooden flower and a little basket that says "Happy Easter" with some plastic eggs inside.
In our dining room, bought a new Easter tablecloth, with an Easter bunny centerpiece, and little felt bunnies hanging over the entryway.
Little green moss bunny hanging on the back of our front door.
The downstairs bathroom, I've added some wooden bunnies.  The small white bunny on the top shelf was made by my Grandpa Vince.  I've always put that little guy out each year for Easter.  On top of the toilet, just threw in some Easter eggs on top of what's already in there which is our favorite Poo-Pourri spray, and a candle.

Easter should be interesting this year, from a distance!  Everything is going to be weird until this Covid-19 is all over.  And I can't wait until it's over!

The movie choices for our Fairytale Friday!
Putting on her makeup, lots and lots of layers of lip gloss.
Our neighbors were getting rid of this dollhouse, and gave it to Hadley!  She was so excited.
Stayed on a little longer with my cousins for our Zoom chat.  Love seeing their faces!

Happy Monday.  Make it a great week!  Stay safe and stay home!  Can't wait until people stop saying that phrase!

Monday we mowed the grass for the first time this season.  After the first time, it's like at least once maybe twice a week we mow.  Hadley loved spraying off the lawn mower and making it all clean before we put it away.
Stay home people!  Just do it.  Yes it's not the most fun, but if we all do it at the same time then we will all be able to leave our house again.  The sooner the better.  We can do it!
Eating breakfast in her unicorn dress and vest.  We don't have many rules while we are staying at home.  If she wants to eat her breakfast in a dress, then by god she can.  We are all feeling a little off these days, and it's hard to explain to our little ones what's going on in the world.  I've been a little more lenient with some things, they are experiencing this too and can't really express how they are feeling.
Learning that she is a lego master!  She can almost do this entire set all by herself.  Ordered more legos for sure.
My brother sent me this photo, it's new signage in the Kroger stores.  I love it!  Some people just don't get it and still stand directly behind you.  Keep your distance if you must go out!
Printing lots of coloring pages at the computer to break up the hours in the day.
She looks so grown up here!  Crossing her long little legs on her little pink stool while watching one of the many movies.
Every single day I've been making our bed during this stay at home deal.  It helps me start my day off right and I hope to continue it when things go back to normal.
Making funny faces, while eating breakfast.  For the first time she tried real blueberries in her yogurt and is a fan.
Virtual dance class was on Wednesday!  Such a great experience for her.  Her dance teacher is the sweetest, she can't wait to give all the girls a hug again soon!  At the end of each class, each girl gets a stamp on their hand and the teacher hugs them before they go.  It's the cutest!
All I needed was toilet paper and dish soap!  I don't want to go anywhere, but toilet paper is a necessity.  Before all of this Corona virus started, we were down to like 4 rolls and then mayhem happened and people started taking it like the world was ending!  Once I got to the checkout line, the cashier informed me we can only take two not three.  Only two 4-packs!  Oh well.  We've got some now and know the world will keep making it just have to get lucky and find some when we need it again.
One day we did a music themed day!  Hadley had the best time!  Most everything I find are ideas that are super simple that you can do with anything you have already in your home.  For the photo above, all you do is pour water in a glass jar at different levels, we added food coloring so you can see the different levels.  Next you take a spoon and stir each one and see the different sounds they make!
Chilling outside for a break and some fresh air.
Chalk coloring on the driveway never gets old.
Played outside with Daddy, kicking a basketball all over the yard making up their own games.
Hadley came up with a game called the blind fold challenge.  We each took turns being blind folded and had to try to find each other by feeling around.

We had a good week overall.  I'm so thankful to be working from home!  I don't want to go anywhere, and to not go completely crazy you have to think of different things to do each day or staying home can really get to ya!

Happy Saturday, have a great weekend!

Bread no. 2 : Lemon Pound Cake

Adjustments : None.

Notes : If I were to make this again, I would double the amount of lemon zest, especially if you really like lemon flavor.

Review : Excellent.  So good even Hadley liked it, she had two pieces!  And she is picky.  The frosting was just perfect in the microwave for 30 seconds to softened it up.  The cake was so moist and tasty, will definitely make again.

We have started our very own Corona Virus binder!  Don't be misled, it has nothing to do with the actual virus inside.  I decided to keep a binder of all the things we do to keep busy everyday.  The binder does not have photos in it just yet, waiting on ink cartridges to be delivered from Amazon!  Everything online seems to be delayed big time as far as delivery times go.  So here it goes, the inside of the binder.
We started the binder last Thursday, and this is our list from the first day.  Nothing about this binder is hard, it's simply just papers or anything I want to print and save here.  Each weekday, we make a list of things we'd like to do, or write them down as we go.
Hadleys coloring of Barbie.  She's really taken an interest in Barbies lately.
Coloring is so therapeutic for me, and I love to color with Hadley anytime she likes.
Thursday night we had a tornado warning, just as Hadley went to bed I had to get her out of bed and head to the basement.  It only lasted 40 minutes or so, but never like the idea of heading down there and hearing sirens going on outside.
 Friday's list.
I printed out a blank calendar for the next three months, to log any exercise I do.  I'm on a roll so far.  I like the visual of writing it down and seeing what I do each time.

I also plan to print out news articles, updates, photos of what we do at home, things like that.  The world is going through this together, and I wanted to do something to remember all these crazy times with.

On Friday, we started our weekend with a site word scavenger hunt.  I wrote out letters on pieces of paper and hid them around the house, and then Hadley had to find the letters and make site words listed on a piece of paper.
Friday night, played barbies in the sink with Daddy.
Brady sleeps everywhere except his bed.  Woke up Saturday morning to find him on the couch.
Morning videos with Hadley and Natalie.
The nightly wipe down of everything before we go to bed.  I feel like I'm constantly wiping everything off from door knobs, drawer pulls, everything you touch on a daily basis.
I've been making our bed every single morning lately and it sure does help for making the day more productive.  It has helped me with working from home, to making a routine, and trying to stick to it.
Sunday night, my aunts and cousins did a family group chat on Zoom.  It was so much fun!  We laughed, talked about the Corona virus, talked about random things, it was the best and can't wait for the next one!  We have to get creative with keeping in touch with each other through this pandemic.  At least we all have one thing in common, we are all going through the same thing together.

Happy Monday my peeps.  Hang in there, we will get through this.  Take it one day at a time!

What a crazy past two weeks!  Everything started out like a regular week right?  The time changed, there was a full moon, Friday the 13th, and then boom.  Craziness happened.  The news of the rapidly spreading Corona virus has taken us all for a loop.  And it's just weird.  It feels like each new day has more news, more updates, and more hysteria.  Did you ever think you wouldn't be able to go to the grocery store and buy simple things?  The stores are constantly being restocked, and not fast enough.  It's crazy out there.  So please stay home people!  There are many ways to communicate, face time, iMessage, Facebook, Instagram, the list goes on.

I encourage you to come up with a daily routine.  Take a shower every morning, make the bed, do some yoga or exercise before you start the day.  We are only on day 3 of being in our house, and I already foresee things to get crazier.  You have to keep your own mind right in a state of emergency like this.  Utilize Pinterest, movies, the internet is a huge range of possibilities.

So please, stay home and stay safe!
