around here went bowling this past Sunday and she just has so much fun!  She likes to sit up in this chair after her she's done with her turn.
around here cherishing this pillow sent from a very sweet friend in the passing of George.
around here Daddy teaching her how to play tic tac toe.
around here went to Ash Wednesday mass during my lunch.  Wish I would've gone on my lunch for years it was so quick and easy!
around here Hadley has been sleeping with this lamp on at night.  I was playing around with my phone and it looked really neat to have the entire rest of her room pitch black in the photo.
around here ordered this frame in preparation for Hadley to start kindergarten this year!  Can't wait to see this frame filled up with photos of her school years.
around here we've been having lots of time together while Daddy works.  This night it was Hadley's choice for dinner and of course she picked El Rancho Grande!

TGIF!  Thank the lord it is Friday!  Looking forward to seeing the big kids tonight!  They are so busy with sports and outside of school activities, it feels like forever since we've seen them.  Natalie has a volleyball tournament this weekend, but thankfully it's local so we can all go!  Most likely church on Sunday and then just chill the rest of the weekend!  Happy Friday!

Enjoying some of her Valentines Day treats from us.
When it's thirty something degrees outside, this one wants to put shorts, short sleeves, and flip flops on!  She is my daughter for sure.  We do love summer!
Daddy surprised Hadley with a unicorn stuffed animal the morning after Valentines Day.  He had to work late the day of, and then early to the firehouse the next day.  She was so surprised!
Added our sweet George to the mantle.  For an extra touch, put his name tag in the frame.
Brunch with my family!
A new place to Hadley for dinner.  She loved the games!
Puma outfit!
Volunteered to do the ribbons for Natalie's volleyball team.  They came out so good for a President's Day theme!
Picked her up before nap on President's Day, played teacher and babies.  She couldn't be happier!

Had a great long weekend!  Cleaned the house a ton.  Still missing our George.  Will take awhile to get used to him not being in on our home after 9 years.  We know he's no longer in pain, but still so hard losing a pet as an adult.  Had fun girl talk on Sunday for brunch at one of my favorite places LouVino in OTR.

Happy Tuesday, which feels like a Monday!  Hope you have a great week!

George Vance Merz died this morning.

It was very sudden and very unexpected.  So instead of thinking about his last day on earth, I want to think about all the happy memories we had with him.  He had his own hashtag on Instagram.  He had his own category on this blog.

He was our family.  He was one of us.  He was always with us.  We took him everywhere.  As you can see below, he was in so many of our photos.  He was the best dog to us.  He was a great protector.  He might look like a big mean scary Rottie, but he loved people.  He would lay on anyones lap, and would let anyone pet him.  He loved to be loved.
The day we brought him home!  December 28th, 2012.

"A dog doesn't care if you're rich or poor, educated or illiterate, clever or dull.  Give him your heart and he will give you his."

George, I want you to remember you were a great dog to our family.  We will never forget you.
