k&m / july.

A new year of K&M monthly posts!  Yay!  Here is what we've been up to this month...

She has been super super busy at work.

Taking on new responsibilities in addition to normal ones is a lot!

They went to the Jimmy Buffet concert.

It was the hottest one yet.

But still oh so much fun.

No Reds games this month.

But lots of lake time.

We are enjoying our new boat so much.

It's a dream.

series shows on Netflix: part 2.

We love Netflix.  Who doesn't right?  At least I hope you have Netflix, or know someone who does to watch it.  It's still the best invention ever.  We watch it all the time.  We still don't have cable, it's been years now.

Last year, I talked about what we loved to binge watch here.  The list has changed a little bit, below are some of my new favorites...
Dead To Me - This one was a little slow at some parts, but overall it was a good one.  Christina Applegate is sad and angry over the sudden death of her husband, and she meets a new friend at a support group.
Friends From College - One of the couples move to New York to reconnect with old college friends.  It's about their life together, with lots of secrets that unfold!  I binged watch the entire two seasons in two weekends.
Tidying up with Marie Kondo - I tried so hard to watch this, but could only watch the first episode and that was a struggle.  Marie Kondo was super popular real quick, and then it died down.
Ozark - Watched the first season, was pretty good.  It's about money laundering and drug lords, and the survival of Jason Bateman's family.  I love Jason Bateman, so anything he's in I'll watch for the most part.  Season 2 is on my list!
Girlfriends Guide to Divorce - Literally just started watching this, and there are five seasons!  I'm on the 2nd episode of Season 1 and love it so far.  Ready to dive into this one and see how it goes.
Stranger Things - Re-watched the last two episodes of Season 2, and then started Season 3.  You either love this one or hate it.  Surprisingly enough, I love it!  I hope they keep it going, but not sure what the talk is on that yet.

Well there you have it folks, more favorites from Netflix right now.  Have you watched any of these?  What are your favorites on Netflix?  Always up for new shows to watch!

what's up Monday?

Again and again with the Mondays.

This week I will:
  • Celebrate surviving this excessive heat without a pool.
  • And by celebrate I mean give myself a manicure or something.
  • Clean the office area at home.
  • Watch The Bachelorette + Big Brother.
  • Paint with Hadley.
  • Start to organize the garage.
  • Make some stuff?  It's been awhile.
  • And 4 more work days.
Badda-Bing, Badda-Boom.

Happy Monday.

(Above photo take on our way out Friday night, just a deer chilling in someones driveway).

Hadley was excited to have Grandad come over to have some fun!
They had a water station set up at the concert thank goodness!  This was the first year I drank more water than margaritas it was so hot!
Love these parrot heads!

Happy Friday!  Had a great week around here, busy yet not so busy.  Wishing this heat would cool off just a tad, but it is what it is.  Really makes me miss our old house with the pool!  Excited for this weekend, having date night, and then chilling the rest of the weekend.  Not really anything planned!

Stay cool out there.  Drink lots of water even if you don't feel thirsty, the heat sneaks up on you!

4th of july recap.

For our 4th of July this year, we decided it was time to get a new boat!  Our old boat was 21 years old, it still ran fine but when an opportunity comes like this you take it right?  We are so in love with this boat it's crazy!
Kevin with the biggest smile, driving the boat for the first time.
This kid is truly living her best life, love all of these memories we are making for her childhood.
All of our family in the boat, except for Brady and Natalie.  They were out of town at a baseball tournament.  Can't wait for them to see it!
We went home for a day because Kevin had to work, so Hadley and I ventured to Target where she bought another toy she's been eyeballing with her allowance money.
Back to the lake and ready to enjoy the sunshine!
My brother-in-law trying out our new surfboard.
Lake hair don't care, we had so much fun!
Our cove had a band play, so many people came by boat or float, it was awesome!
I've been battling bronchitis for the last few weeks, and the doc gave me stronger antibiotics which apparently has side effects of sensitivity to the sun!  I hope that's what this is because it hurts!

Hope everyone had a nice long holiday weekend!  We certainly did!  Happy Monday!

hello july.

Hello July!  Here is our patriotic mantle decorations!  I was so excited to pretty up the fireplace and make it all patriotic this year.
The metal tins are from Target, the block sign from Amazon, and the 4th of July saying from Amazon also.
Wasn't too sure how to hang these, so I took some string that I had and taped it to the bottom of the mantle.
Love this small wooden "Liberty" sign.
Since we don't have a flagpole yet, I hung this giant flag on the fireplace brick wall.  I used command sticky strips, put them on top along the wood, and it stuck!
Happy 4th of July month!
