What a weird week with the 4th on a Wednesday this year. This week at Hadley's school was sports themed, each day they did something different that was sports related. My favorite was baseball day! Her old teacher Becca sent me the photo of her in the classroom, they loved her shorts. When a new month starts, I always put the next month on our wall calendars. The big kids are going to be gone a lot in August. We have lots planned for August though so it won't be that bad.
We did some sparklers the night before 4th of July. Had a very low key holiday this year, but I feel like it's going to be more festive at the lake this weekend. We swam a lot on the 4th. The hydrangeas came! I cannot wait to plant them on the side yard. I'm going to pressure wash the dirty white fence, and the fireplace brick, and then plant those babies. Hadley has daily little talks with our neighbor, she'll hang over the side of the porch and make noises or say hello until he hears her and then she is super quiet and just listens to him talk to her. It's so cute to watch. And, she is the best waterer. I'm teaching her to water the dirt, and the get the mulch wet when it comes to watering flowers. Maybe she'll get that green thumb I never had until now.
I'm glad the week is over and the weekend is here! We are headed to the lake again! Cheers to cooler temperatures, and sunshine!
